Digestive Carminative

      Barberry root (Berberis vulgaris) (the east coast equivalent of Oregon grape root) is a gentle hepatic- bilary stimulant, which enhances the flow of bile. Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum officinale) is used as a blood purifying herb that helps to clear obstructions, and stimulate and aid the liver to eliminate toxins from the blood. Anise seed (Pimpinella anisum) aids digestion. It prevents and expels gas, and relieves belching. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) acts as a harmonizer. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) increases properties of other herbs and aids in digestion.
